And Mass Effect was good untill the 3rd game where it just fell apart and made no sense (the ending) Even the animation quality was subpar compared to the first 2 games. ME3 all by itself makes ME1 plot pointless for example, at least to me.
ME3 made ME1 & ME2 and ME3 "non-entities" for me. They so lost replayability that I tossed all 3 in the garbage. Total disdain for these games. Never happened before to games I initially enjoyed.
The developers tied characters to a series of games, to the extent where the last save game carried characters to the next in the series. You made many decisions that determined the course of these characters. Really drew you in. Very nice touch.
Then the ending of ME3 said, "Sucker!"
All of your previous decisions were rendered meaningless. That's my view anyway. Others see it differently.

I really enjoyed Diablo II series and was a hardcore Battle.net player on it. Of course, I followed the hype and bought Diablo III which is a big big letdown for me. Too many things ain't the same anymore, Diablo III is like a completely new game compared to Diablo series. But, that's just my opinion. I am still looking towards the new patch.

Next will be C&C - Red Alert 2, that was my favourite young time RTS game and I bought the Red Alert 3, I was very very disappointed again but I didn't even bother to install it now.

The publishers are laughing all the way to the Bank with our money because we are, indeed, SUCKERS!!! more so when we think that what we see in the ads and video teasers is part of the gameplay or how the game will be. They are also banking on the fact that some Franchises have done extremely good so they will milk the cow dry even if the game has nothing to do with what the franchise initially made of that game.

People keep buying their crap because they are afraid that if they don't, the Dev House and/or Publisher will go broke and they won't have any more games to play and their life, as they know, will also end. They don't understand that, as soon as Dev House and/or Publisher is dead, a new one will take its place and, if they are smarter than those who died, will start by making good games so they don't die as well. This publisher have been able to recognize the needy people we are and how afraid we are to changes that we rather be sheep and follow... sad state of affairs really.

Others? well, others just have more money than Brains and think that 50 cheeseburgers is just pocket change so they don't even care to buy it, toss it away if they don't like it, its unplayable or even installable and go back to the store and get another one... Mommy and Daddy told him he is a winner and he is entitle to anything and everything he wants because they love him so very much!

I won't even bother buying D3. Their DRM is a P.O.S and I want nothing to do with it. No singleplayer without internet? Well, you can say "bye-bye" to my money from here on out, because it looks like this will be part of their future games, too. And the gameplay/skill system sounds like absolute shit, too. The AH doesn't really appeal to me (as if I'm gonna use real money to buy items for a game. **** that.) They also seemed to turn D3 into yet another "spend hours upon hours item grinding just for 2 or 3 special items for a month before you get it." No thanks to that, too.

Dungeon Siege 3 turned out to be crap, too. The Need For Speed series went down the toilet after Porsche Unleashed, in my opinion. Same with Doom 3.

BF2 was pretty good, in my opinion. I liked that you could do the same thing in MP in SP. BC2 and BF3 didn't follow this line, which is kinda lame. I don't really care for a "campaign" in Battlefield. It was all about taking over the map, even in SP, and they gone and screwed it up (for me, that is). And then they had to go and make BF3 only work through a stupid website page. After I found that out after trying to play it, I said "Okay, you're getting deleted and put back in your box. BYE!" I'm not interested in playing my game through a website page. I want a direct .exe file into the game. The game's still sitting in my pile of games, not touched since the first time I installed it, and it's staying there.

Another game that kinda went into the toilet was the Carmageddon 3rd game in the series. "Carmageddon TDR2000" was a bit of a disappointment. No more humans...it's all zombies now *rolls my eyes*. I'm tired of zombies in games, they're overused and boring as shit. Try something else please.

The new Duke Nukem game didn't really appeal to me either.

A lot of the new games these days don't really endear me much anymore like they used to. Which is why I generally stick to the older PC games (and pretty much why I also haven't upgraded my PC in 3 years).

Excuse my stupidity but this means that you bought the game (they have your money) and then you didn't do anything about it... Win Win but for them, isn't it?

I mean, if that is the case and this was your first time and learn your lesson... welcome to the real world. But, if this is your modus operandus (it seems to be the case with the majority of the gamers out there) then, this is the reason why they are churning crappy games as of late... they have lemmings at their disposal.

Look at my Computer specs and tell me how old do you think it is? I'll give you a hint... I'm still using DDR2 memory!

Wasn't me who bought it, so it wasn't my money wasted. Ha.

    DDR2? Sheesh.
