Kingdoms of Amalur Black Screen

Hi,
So I installed Kingdoms of Amalur fine with no errors there but after I click the .exe file it comes up with the initial cyclops splash screen thing then after about 10secs goes to a black screen that does nothing, no sound, no picture and the only way to get out of it is reset the computer as none of the keyboard shortcuts or any keys works once it gets to that screen.
I have tried a few things that didn't seem to help either:
- Running as an administrator.
- Running through the launcher.
- Reinstalled numerous times.

Also I installed the direct X and the C++ that comes with the initial setup and it doesn't really help either.
Please help.

PC System Info.
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955
Motherboard ASRock Extreme3 970
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6950 Twin Frozr OC/PE
RAM: Corsair 4GB DDR3
Hard Drive: ST3500418AS 500GB

PS: I have heard that disabling post-processing fixes the black screens but I cant get to in game options to change it so unless there is a way to do it in catalyst control centre then I need something else.

Try finding a options.ini or settings.ini or something similar, where the game keeps the settings, and see if you can change it from there.
