Gaming, lost connection restarted in game!!!

Whilst playing a game I was disconnected, no picture on screen, although the PC was still running, I powered down using the case power button I restarted and instead of booting into windows it booted into the game I was playing then after a few minutes my game crashed.
Very odd, I'm using AMD 11.011a drivers.

Edit; just started my game and it crashed before it opened!!!

Have you tried running it as administrator?

Does this happen with other games? Also have you tried running in compatibility mode for xp? Finally I want to mention that i looked up your game and came across this thread on the steam forums about it having issues on 64bit windows systems. He explains a fix on how to fix the error,i suggest to try his method and see if this resolves your problem or not. It's in the following link below
