What particular power supply?
I'd be sure to get a good one. If I had to, I'd cut the RAM back to 4 GB and omit the audio card in order to fit a good PSU into the $600.
Tough to go into more detail as you haven't mentioned a specific case or heat sink, any prices for your chosen parts, or your source for parts.
Biostar wouldn't be high on my list, but maybe you have to do that to get under your budget?
Make and model of power supply? Saying it is 600 W doesn't mean much.
Also what video card? Again saying the card has 2 GB on it doesn't mean anything. There are low end cards with that much ram on them that will struggle with just about anything game related.
What videocard? Games are most reliant on videocards,

He needs to state what Brand PSU he will be using 600w is nice but just because it boast 600w doesn't mean it is good enough to power all your hardware under stability and ware
Everyone here knows it is a Crap load of 2GB cards out there but Depends on what you are looking at are you trying to go under 190.00 lets say for this card ?
Lower end 550ti 2GB that is the only one that comes to mind that will actually do something
Anyway ..... with the price of the FX chips you can easly Bang out a fx 6200 already clocked at 3.8 ghz Turbo 4.1 for about 130.00 or a lil more prices drop so fast even the 4170 is 120.00 already clocked at 4.2 turbo 4.3
One more thing if you need help in choosing quality parts to get your build in the price range you like i can suggest and a few others as well
I think you can do much much better than that... am I to believe that you have a budget of 600 to buy a gaming rig sans OS, Monitor, Mouse & Keyboard?
Or you have already purchased it and just want or need opinions?
i would grab an Ivy i5, H61 mobo, 4gigs ddr3, 1tb wd blue, 650w to 750w psu, cm case, GF 660Ti
You say a Gaming/Editing machine. As in Video Editing?
Your going to want to put more of the budget towards graphics for a gaming rig, and far more power towards CPU and secondly RAm for a video editing machine.
You can't really have both in that budget range sadly, so figure out which is most important to you.
If the editing will be a occasional thing, just lean towards gaming. If editing is the most important, youll want to put more towards the CPU such as a Intel i5.
Also, I agree about the PSU. Get a good PSU, as its the heart of everything.
And while I myself am a firm supporter of dedicated audio card, that can wait untill later. A Good Power Supply is more important now.
As a FYI, keep in mind that while a dedicated audio card can make a significant difference in the audio, it will NOT make much difference at all over onboard unless you have some higher quality speakers/headphones to drive with it. Something to keep in mind.

For the power supply do yourself a favor and look into Corsair, Antec, Seasonic.
Yes, the 500-550W may cost the same or more than a cheaper 750W, but they may actually be far more powerful. Wattage does not mean everything.
A good 550 will be plenty, up to a 650.
One other suggestion, look into Gskill Memory. Fairly cheap vs other brands, but very good quality. Highly recommended.
