Bump? o:

if noone replys to the thread, does that mean that noone has a solution for it?

Also, if i run it as admin/windows XP/vista, it loads up but just displays a black screen, and i have to manually restart my computer using the power off button.

I have the same problem...
1st time I ran it I got a BSoD , then I tried using the compability mode - got a black screen and had to restart . But after the restart I got it to work and it worked perfectly... :D The only problem is that I don't remember how I did that and now I get the black screen again...

Hello all, welcome to the forums.

First test: reinstall the program.

Second: can your computers handle the game?

Interesting. It could just be incompatibility with the Beta. Have you tried Vista compatibility mode? And could you post the BSOD code? ~Lordbob

Haven't gotten the BSoD for a while now (and I don't remember the BSoD code), only black frozen screen. I've tried XP and Vista Compability mode, but it didn't help - I still get the black screen...

Now that I think about it... I only got a BSoD from S4 League once...

No the difference is on board motherboard sound or a separate card. You can look on the back of your computer and if the sound is plugged into the upper part of the case, then it is the mobo sound. If it is lower by the video cards (in the PCI slots) then it is a sound card.

Alright, since it is mobo sound, then do you have the drivers for your mobo? Try loading those. That might help.

This game (as administrator) installed and runs fine for me in 64bit win7.

My Computer My Computer

OS
Windows 7 64bit
MSI Live Update didn't show up anything and the drivers CD is only for ME and XP...
But everything should be working... but how do I test it?

Tried some other games:
1. Bioshock - After I installed DirectX, works perfectly.
2. WarRock - No problems.
3. Trickster Online - After I press the start button I get an Exceptional Error.
4. NeverWinter Nights - No problems.
5. Heroes of Might and Magic V - No problems.
6. Alot of older games - No problems

Ok, tested a newer game (since the other ones seemed to be developed ages ago) called The Last Remnant and it works perfectly!

But when I tried to play Fantasy Tennis (also a game from Alaplaya like S4 League) and it didn't work - I got the black screen.

A little bit more information:
After I got the black screen I pressed ctrl-alt-delete and then a message popped up:

"Failure to display security and shut down options"

"The logon process was unable to display security and logon options when CTRL+ALT+DELETE was pressed. If the operating system does not respond, press ESC or restart the computer by using the power switch.

And whatever I do (press ESC or OK button), the alert goes away, but I still see the black screen...

It could just be the older games don't work right with it. If they were made for DX8 or before, you may need to install that.

Ah. Ok, then try this: Take out the video card, and hook up to mobo video and see if the error continues.
