Should work fine I think
OK, I have made it through this post: https://www.sevenforums.com/gaming/25...tml#post387070 - updating the OP in a bit.
OK, I still have a lot of catching up to do.
Last warning - nothing but pass / fail reports. Ask a Q and I see it, I will delete it. I was previously moving them to their own threads, but if you won't take the time to read this list and the rules, then I'll kill the questions the easy way.
Got it?
Also, please be kind and list one game per line (if you are listing fail / semi-working games, it would be helpful if you listed the game by itself and the n the reasons / steps for success on the next line).
I use a complicated system of checking game names online (a lot of people want to use 2 for II - I like being official) and then use an even more complicated set of macros to put the game in the list it belongs - and I am keeping the list on my computer so if this thread gets lost, I still can re-make the post....
Also, this list is getting huge - I considered splitting it into 3 lists, working, semi-working, and non-working, but then also though it might be easier if we just maintained the semi-working and not working list.....
See XXXXX for more details.
ePSXe PlayStation emulator. Mostly working but as it's one of those emulators built around plugins rather than solid updates... the only video plugin I can get to work right is an older one made for DirectX 6(Pete's DX6 D3D driver). The ones for OpenGL don't work right. Given this emulator hasn't been updated in YEARS, however, this might be why. Seems a lot of PS1 and N64 emulator development stopped dead some time back. That brings me to...
Project 64 N64 emulator. Seems to run okay but could be better. Just not optimized for modern hardware. Plugins for it are outdated.
America's Army 3 works fine threw steam. However deploy client is another issue.
i have a asus g71gx-a2 with windows 7 professional
i can not get battlefield 2 to run. i have everything i can find to get it working.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Working: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. Slight bug with adding custom scenery.
Semi-Working: European Air War. Running in D3D, substantial graphics glitches but playable.
Not Working: Steel Beasts. Will not run unless d3drm.dll file is manually added to game directory. Then game runs but colors are distorted and main gunnery screen is black, can't see enemy. Technically it's "running" but not playable.
Not Working: Soldier of Fortune, patched to Gold Edition. Installs, but crashes with message "SoF has stopped working" when you run it. Compatibility modes have no effect.
Edit: UPDATE: Soldier of Fortune Gold DOES work after using the "nhancer" OpenGL compatibility settings for Quake II described in the thread below.
Fixes for RtCW Single player and Quake II (OpenGL):

Works on my 64-bit gaming rig:
Modern Warfare 2
Call of duty 4
Borderlands
Dragon age
Left 4 Dead 2
Prototype
Crysis
Burnout Paradise
Zero Gear
Every game maxed out with 8xAA except Crysis (Crysis is 2xAA)
No lag!
