Fallout 3 runs on both, but there are issues, and you will probably need to disable the Live.dll via a mod manager or tweak file. (post on Nexus for details) before you can run the game after it is patched. As it is a stand-alone game, you don't need the Live option. FO3 runs from the launcher, so, if you want to tweak the graphics options, do that before you remove Starforce ( which may cause problems if you leave it in place) as when you run it direct from the .exe in the games folder you will not have the range of options to tweak in the game menu.I also disable UAC, and in the compatibility tab on the .exe files, tick the 'run as admin box' and set it to xpsp3 compatible. I would do this for all the games.

Oblivion runs in x86, and x64 - no problems if you do not use the launcher, click on the .exe instead. This maybe because of copyright protection

Silent Hunter 3 loads on x64 and the intro shows, after that it is sound and a blank screen.

X-series Terran Conflict runs on x86 and x64 - no problems

The current versions of ZDoom and GZDoom run fine. Also, an older port of the Doomsday engine aka JDoom, made to work with the Doom 64 TC, runs flawlessly

Starcraft Brood War should definitely NOT be listed as working in Windows 7 x64. Only as Semi-working.

By now, newer games are supposed to work on Windows 7. But I am very frustrated by the fact that Windows 7 isn't really all that good gaming OS (for now).

Anyway, I tested out some games on Windows 7 x86 build 7600 and here's my list.

    WORKING:

    TimeShift
Painkiller (never tried installing expansion packs, I played the original game only)
The Orange Box (I know it's already listed, but the fact is that I needed to run all the games in Compatibility mode for Windows XP; all Half-Life games worked fine while Portal kept crashing after every 6-7 loads-otherwise it works perfectly. Didn't try playing Team Fortress 2, although the game did start normally)
    Dungeon Siege 2
    Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (including both expansion packs: "Spearhead" and "Breakthrough")
    Dragon Age: Origins
    Saints Row 2
    Evil Dead Regeneration
    Crimes of War
    Postal 2
    First Battalion
    The Hell In Vietnam
    You Are Empty
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (This one is also listed, but I played the game without any need for hacks)
Unreal Tournament (yes, you read it right, the first UT game worked like a charm, no hacks needed, although it seems that nobody actually plays this game online XD)

    NOT WORKING:
Fahrenheit (The U.S. version is called "The Indigo Prophecy")
Thief: Deadly Shadows (this one is already listed, but doesn't work for me. Successful installation but the game won't run no matter what)
Left4Dead (not only did the game keep crashing at random times, illegal copies of the game will damage your system fonts, so do not try playing it-I learned the hard way XD)
Nostradamus: La Derniere Prophetie (Unable to install at all, Windows reports a driver incompatibility)

All the games listed were installed to their default directories, allowed through Windows Firewall etc. Now, I just have to mention that the only illegal game copy in this list was Left4Dead, everything else is genuine.

Also, for almost all of the games listed, Windows failed to delete shortcut entries in the Games folder and/or in the All Programs-Games section of the Start menu after I uninstalled the game(s).
