'Dependant Assembly could not be found' Bully: Scholarship Edition PC

    Hello again to everybody.
To try and solve the problems I encountered with this game beforehand (shown in THIS thread), I repaired my windows installation using the tutorial from this forum.

Good news: The existing problem has been eliminated.
Bad News: A new problem has risen...

The event log shows this error message:
"Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bully Scholarship Edition\Bully.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",ver sion="8.0.50727.762" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis."

Is there any easy solution to fix this?

    Thank you very much :)

I think you need this, even if I'm wrong it never hurts to have it.

I cannot tell you how many times I have re-installed that. It doesn't work.

Have you gone into steam and verified the game data? (local files)
It is possible the problem is in the game itself.

If you would have read the thread I had linked to, yes, I did to no avail. Although I haven't re-installed Steam yet, should I try that?

Maybe we just aren't blasting it with enough versions of the VCredist.
This post here recommends installing them all.
It seemed to help the guy who was getting the same message as you.
...and had also already tried installing the redist.
Bully:Scholarship Edition refusing to start up because of the side-by-side error.

Oh. My. God. I am SUCH AN IDIOT!!!!

See, when I installed them at first, I didn't uninstall them, so effectively initially installing them did nothing.

This time, I actually uninstalled them, THEN re-installed them. Holy crap, I can finally play the game again!! I've been waiting and procrastinating for almost a YEAR!!!

Thank you so much. You can close this thread now
