    I'm shocked

You wasn't going to get it anyway considering it's a Steam based game anyway

I just finished my first play though and I have to say I am really disappointed. I thought I did quite a bit of searching and level exploring, upping my abilities and weapons, and I finished the game in 11 hours... 11 HOURS! That's ridiculous. And I know they keep touting how "replayable" it is but when the game itself is disappointing it doesn't really spur you to give it another shot. I had issues with the story but most of that has to do with the fact that ultimately whatever you choose really doesn't impact the story line, just the ending. I didn't feel like letting a target live or die had any significance whatsoever to the game.

I'm not really a good writer so I hope I'm getting my point across, I didn't hate the game... In fact while I was playing I looked forward to the story progressing and getting deeper into the world, but by the time I did that the game was over. And another thing, this game looked ALOT like Half-life, and yes I know it's the same art director but I felt it was a little much. Christ it looked like City 17!

Anyway I'm hoping to hear more from all of you and hear what you have to say about dishonored and whether you liked it or not...

I would say its a mix of the two. The game has classic levels but on most of those levels (except the first) you have the ability to go anywhere and do what you please.

Does it have more Action than Drama? what I mean by it is... do you have constant shooting actions or is more having to finds things to finish the objectives. Having a more of an open world is a good thing, I am tired of corridor type shooters

Why would you be? I am tired of paying for fresh milk only to find that my gallon of milk has expired and there is no return policy on it...

As far as Steam Based, Didn't even see that... Good Luck to them then! I am sure they don't need me to make their millions

Asta there's no need in trying to provoke an argument with me because you're not getting one.

You are also NOT contributing anything to the question of this post. The only reason you're posting here is to provoke and argument. Now I'm more than willing to take on the task.... but I don't feel like getting banned

Bottom line is we're not going to agree on anything and you know it. This is my thread and I'm not going anywhere.

    Peace

The fact its a Bethesda game alone is reason enough for me. They haven't let me down yet. :)

I've not played it either, but agree its quite interesting looking. I'll certainly be picking it up for the PC in the near future.

Seems its somewhat open, if Im understanding it correctly.

I did find this review by ElderGeek that does a very good job of going over the mechanics of the game.
Not sure if it will help your decision any or if you've seen it but ... have a look. They done a good overall review here IMHO.

Thanks Jesse. Yeah, being a Bethsoft game is what got me looking at it as well. Been lurking around the forums at both Steam and Bethesda and aside from the usual it needs a patch complaint I haven't noticed any big issues.

I watched the video and got some good info out of it. I noticed the author said he got 21 hours on his first play through, where someone here earlier said it was on 11 hours. I tend to believe the game is somewhere around 20 though as I really don’t think the game is only 11 hours…. unless you just play without exploration or anything.

Anyway I've got another somewhat rough semester coming up Monday with a writing class and a humanities class so I'm probably not going to get this one till around Christmas where we finishes out the school year.

    Thanks.
