    GTA 5

Hey guys i have been trying to get GTA 5 to work on my pc, and after months of "Rockstar" help they came to the conclusion that its not the games fault the game wont start but my copy of windows.

" Hello asliddina, We are sorry to hear that you are still having this issue. After reviewing your information we see the errors/crashes being report with the game. These failures are originating from a KERNELBASE.dll file. These errors are in association with the OS operations. Below are a few recommendations to resolve these types of issue, but we recommend that you follow this up with a PC/OS support such as Microsoft for further assistance with these types of errors."

I have looked into this but am not as tech savy as i would like to tackle this problem on my own. I came across this site and tried a couple of the suggestions on this page "https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html." When i run sfc scan i get the error that it was not able to fix some of the corrupt files. I came to this part "If still not, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the OPTION THREE section below to manually replace the files that SFC could not fix if there are not to many fix." but do not know how to proceed from here. I have included the sfcdetails file in the post. Thanks in advance if anyone reads this post.

sfc result is clean, the 2 files are not actually corrupt (known issue). You can disregard them.

Would you consider reinstalling Windows? I know its not ideal, but a fresh install or at least a repair will fix any corrupt Windows files, unless of course your copy was installed when you bought your PC and you don't have the installation disk?

I did try a clean install once. Still didnt help the game. Going to give up on this problem since rock star seems to have no idea whats going on and they keep going in circles with there reply's. They only told me to update my graphics drivers about 5 times.

It doesn't make sense that it's the game causing the issue, I am sure there are heaps of people with the same system specs as you and the game probably runs fine. Have you tried running a corrupted file scanner program? They analyze your system and can report of any corrupted system files, specifically KERNELBASE.dll and any others that might be causing this?
