To the OP,

If that is the only spare PCI slot in your picture you posted underneath your graphics card i would be very careful as the soundcard will probably block quite a lot of air-flow to your GPU.

I had the same issue crop up when i got my GTX 560 and where i usually had my soundcard was just beneath it. I was lucky though and had another spare PCI slot above and so moved my soundcard to there. All heat issues were solved from there on.

So may be before you go forking out for a soundcard, see if you can borrow one off a friend just to check before you commit. Good luck with it and i hope you get things sorted

Well I have a sound card in my computer now.
The person who put it together had a few sound cards lying around.
So I am back at testing my computer if the problem is solved.

Thank you everyone for the help so far in a few days I will let you all now if the problem is solved by this.

Tested it for a time now and it seems the problems are gone so it seems I can mark this tread as solved now.

Again everyone thx for the help!

Performance vs Gaming
Which is better: The XPS 8700 or the Alienware X51? They have similar specs so I think the XPS 8700 would be better since it has a bigger case which means better cooling. (At default configs)

GFX Issue with glitch when video playback during video gaming
I have a question for the gurus here. I notice with video playback that it gets a little choppy, like a line that forms across the middle of the screen and breaks up the video. It seems to only happen in 'higher intensity' video playback, but I don't know that for sure. I'm fairly certain...

CPU performance issues in gaming and video playback?
Hello! I have been having trouble off and on with sound and video stutter in games and video playback (mostly through flash players but can be seen sometimes with video players like MPC). I believe it is something eating up my CPU but am not positive. Gaming-wise it doesn't matter if I have...
