    Fifa 08/09/10 working properly?

In Vista 64bit, the Fifa games I played (so 08 and 09) played fine in the actual game, but the menu's were very very slow. I mean like really slow, they responded very slowly and I had to click several times untill something happened. It was very annoying.
I have tried everything in Vista 64bit to fix it, really everything, but the problem was never fixed and it's still there today.
It's a common Vista problem, and that's one of the reasons I'm planning on switching to Windows 7 when it comes out. (when it's coming?)
    But now here's my question:

    - I've checked your great compatibility thread, and Fifa 08 and 09 are mentioned there, they work fine.
But does anyone know if the menu's work fine?

    I have a 8800GTS 512MB videocard, 4GB RAM and a Q6600.

    Thanks!

I don't know how menu works in 08/09 on windows 7, but I installed Fifa 10 and have the same problem.

    I've solved this problem.
I just uninstalled ASUS GamerOSD, and updated ASUS SmartDoctor to the latest version (Google it).
That solved many problems with different games, including Fifa and Fallout 3.

I've updated it too, and now fifa works fine. I had to reinstall graphic drivers.

It worked fine for me only at first run after installing SD and OSD. Now it's slow again and I don't know why.

If you have a missing wallpaper after exiting this game try this:

fifa 10 icon, right muse click, properties, there should be a window called compatibility (I'm not using ENG Windows, but something like this should be there), and there turn off visual composition, and desktop composition.

I've had those same problems. Seems like every few seconds, it will skip a frame or freeze for a split-second. Usually not enough to be disastrous, but there's been one or two occasions where I would try a pass or shot using my mouse at that instant, and I had to attempt a second time because it didn't process it the first time.

I'm downloading the 2 patches for FIFA 09 right now, as well as the latest driver for my Nvidia video card. Hopefully that will help. I don't remember having the problem on my old computer, w/ XP MCE, but that was only 32-bit, and I had the patches installed. I'll check back and let you know if it worked.
