    Far Cry 3 and Ubisoft

I got a "free" copy of Far Cry 3 when I purchased a new HD7770 video card. It had to be downloaded via Ubisoft which installed garbage I don't want for their site. I've uninstalled the Ubisoft and Far Cry 3.

Is there a way of installing the downloaded version without the Ubisoft crap. Just the game. I'm only interested in individual play, not on-line with others.

    Are you talking about UPlay?
If so,No as it is the DRM and is required even with Steam version. the upside, if you want to call it that, is that it also has a few unlockables after certain achievements.

You can set it to offline mode though after it updates everything.

Install it, then Block it on your firewall... perhaps it will allow you to go offline.

Or install it and check this box.

Fairly certain you need to be online the 1st time to activate the game, just as Steam does.

I tried it (installed) again but its tied to UBISOF and Uplay.

Looks like that is the way it is, if I want the free version.

    Thanks for helping/Jack
