    StarWars Republic Commando not even running


    This is a game that I used to play when I was a kid. I love it! I have lost my CD so I decided buy this game from steam. After I installed the game, when I try to run it, I can see the republic commando start-up but then the game crashes. No error messages or anything. I can not even get to the menu. I have Windows 7 64-bit and my video card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670.

    Do you have any ideas to how to solve that problem?

    The game is old you say? did you try compatibility mode yet? how about updating your audio and video drivers? they could of have gotten corrupted or something.

    Hi Kilroy303,

    After trying compatibility mode as suggested:
    Try Turning BUMP MAPPING in the in-game graphics options to Low and it may fix for you.

    From the Main Menu (if you can get in), select Options -> Graphics. Change the Bumpmapping Quality to LOW

Not very tech-literate but here is what I got (+ uploaded required files): System Specs: OS: Win 7 x64 Professional CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz Motherboard: Intel DP55WB RAM: 4 GB Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250
SWRC installed flawlessly, and even starts up fine and I passed the system requirements test. (NOTE: This is run on "Star Wars: Best of PC") I can start it up fine, but once I click on new game (or try to start any kind of game on it) it loads, then immideatly after loading it crashes. It...
Installed Fine and checked PC requirements all qualify to play the game, from the Autorun menu clicked on new game and a runtime error occured (microsoft visual C+++ library)...any help/ideas/solutions to this problem? Much Appreciated :)
