How to bridge wireless connection through laptop to xbox live?

I was able to bridge a wireless connection through my laptop to my xbox 360 with vista but with windows 7 it doesn't seem to work. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes. I have a dual-boot setup on my HP laptop, and the connection still worked thru Vista but not Windows 7. As of last night, my laptop no longer even recognizes a plugged-in cable from either OS. I am wondering if there was an update that disabled this. More investigations tonight...

i think this is how to do it

Open Network and Sharing any way you can. Then click Change Adapter Settings in the left-side panel. There it should show you your wireless connection and your local area connection. Then just bridge it how you would in vista. I hope this helps also tell me if it works cause i do the same thing and i havent tried it yet.

That's kinda cool how you can do this. Why not connect the XBox directly to the same router as the laptop and give it its own ip, though?

Thats not always available. You generaly need another modem or router cuz not every one has wireless but generaly people do and i dont see how people can live without wireless internet but any how some people only have the modem and so the modem is connectd to the pc and so it is easier to bridge it instead of having to constantly change the eithernet cord from machine to machine.

I have a Compaq dual boot with Vista and the solution worked, basically it looked and acted a lot like the screen you would use to bridge in Vista, I'm connected to XBL right now and it works fine.
