    Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising...

    Anybody getting it?

I will not until I read some reviews from real people (read: not paid magazines) so... speak up people

Oh and to those who will get it tomorrow, don't forget to throw us a bone and tell us how the SP Campaign is working out for you... that's what I am most interested in.

I picked it up yesterday. Not had much time to play it yet though, though the first mission seemed pretty fun. It's really easy to get the hang of, too. Like I tried the ArmA 2 demo, and I found it pretty complicated to understand, but this is much easier to get in to.

Will have more of a go over the weekend on it, I think.

Hmmmm, a friend who got it just called me and he says that he is having a hard time adjusting to all the different controls it has. for instance, how to command the teammates individually, also, there is no toggle for aim, he needs to keep the button press for it to work, nor there is a way to command the teammates to recon and not blast anything or everything they see.

Oh, he just asked me if I knew why there is an AIM and a Zoom option... do you know what is that all about?

he just started it as well so he's going to tell me more later but so far... he's got mixed emotions.

He did say that it seems not to be a run & gun type of game... that is a plus for me.

It definitely isn't a run and gun game, and I dunno about the individual team mate commands. I've not got to a point where I need to do that yet. My opinions are just initial thoughts from the first mission on the game. AI seems a bit shaky, too. Like there was an enemy driving aimlessly around in a car, then just hit a wall and died...

I can't answer much in terms of aim and zoom options either. Need to have more of a play.

Works great from the start! But is anyone having problems using FRAPS with it? It works fine in game but when i watch what i recorded it screen flickers like a mofo and tracks all mouse movements and gives it a wicked trail effect. I can't figure out why! I tried turning off cursor tracking i changed the resolution, i tried the compatibility mode turning off visual themes, and still no luck. This is the only game i had the issues with

I'm having a pooh time at the mo. just keeep getting a ctd after about 3-5 mins of gameplay.

thinking that it may be some overclock issue on my system.

knocked everything to default, system wise, and trying again.

does seem a very good engine though as i have max everything and seems to run fine 'when it runs!'!
