    Burning DVDs for xbox 360 . file too large


    im trying to burn some cds for a friend ,and it says




    i have TEAC DVD+R 8.5 GB double layer


    how should i burn it ? ( i remember i did that with the same disks a long time ago , but forgot the trick)

    DVD's are supposed to be 4.7GBs... are you sure those DVDs you are using are new or blanks?

    Kinda obvious that the disc isn't big enough for the game to be burned onto. If you'll look at the size comparison, it's a couple hundred KB too small.

    These are dual layer disks, they're about 8GB

    That being said, maybe different DVD-DLs have slightly different capacity? I don't think they should though...

    or try making an ISO the same size as the disk, and copy the contents over?

    The iso is too large, you would have to compress it but then i'm not even sure it would be enough plus it would degrade the quality.
