People are too self absorbed with CPU power and forget it really depends on GPU power.

Now. If he is thinking straight into the future. Sure, he is set for life.
But tough luck when that motherboard or CPU stop working.

well my guess is that if someone can afford a system like that in the first place,im sure he/she can replace it or perhaps claim warranty if available. And CPU and board/rams are the most basic things for a PC man,new GPU's come out every damn week and there are SO many variations in each model too,GPU can be bought and upgraded many times without changing any other thing from the system.

haha no if you get a good PSU once which costs a pretty penny if i might add,you will be set for a while. OR you could use more then 1 psu also.

something like this i guess,im sure there are other ways and some custom PSU's especially for this purpose (to be used as the secondary power supple). Even in some top of the line alienware cases there is another space for yet another PSU.

As long as there is stupid money, there will be people making more technology than what we need or are capable of using?

I remember buying a 56 kbps dial-up modem back in the day when 2400 was fast then learning that ISPs were only capable of 42 or 46 kbps MAX so I was never going to utilize it anyways. Oh and, by the time they were already at 46 I was already on ADSL

The GTX 690 is actually 20-25% faster than a GTX Titan, if we talk about a single physical GPU
