That's funny. I liked the Bad Company games but they were far from my favorite battlefield. It's interesting seeing a few people who want another one. I didn't know there were any. XD

Most BF fans play for the multiplayer, I like both single and multi myself. BFBC2 had a good campaign but BF3 did not IMO. I have always liked the COD single player too but sincerely don't want to turn this thread into another BF vs COD thread.

I used to only play campaign mode too, but with BFBC2 and BF3 multiplayer is good. And in the write up it said

Bringing the best of multiplayer into single player
Battlefield 4 is a seminal moment for the series and for us at DICE. We have long been known for our award-winning multiplayer. This time around, we are bringing the best elements of our multiplayer into the single player campaign.

So you will get the best of both worlds hopefully
I only do Campaigns and I hope the bold text will hold true as both Campaigns of BF were weak to say the least... at least for me.

What elements from multiplayer could I possibly need in single player

What they referred to is larger environments and destruction. More or less not so linear so to say as some campaigns can be.
This is great news then but I will still hold off until some real reviews come out... hopefully from members here!

Bigger maps are better as are multiple paths. Squad control, not so much.
I really hope that Bigger Maps really translates into Multiple Paths... I really do.

I like squad control as long as I am really in charge of them and not just to Stacking up or breach... the reverse sucks even more as I always try to go stealth and my teammates decide they will go all Rambone on the whole thing

Vehicles is not a deal breaker for me and I usually rather not to use one but is refreshing to see more and more games give you the option... I just wish it wasn't so scripted.

Only do campaigns? That's got to be hard these days when a lot of games rely on multiplayer, especially Battlefield. But I do agree with you on the whole multiple paths in single player and true squad control. Most games like this these days feel like you are watching a movie and you get to chime in every now and again to kill a "bad guy" or two.

would pay as much as they want for Bad company 3
And i also agree with Dude,bf3's SP wasnt even worth playing, one of the worst in history of gaming. Even Co-op missions were better and more interesting lol. On the other hand, still rocking BF3's MP.end game was a blast.

I hear you but I guess I have never been lucky to get all the MP options to you need to have open in order to play, add that to the sucky servers Ubisoft has now a days and my days of trying to go MP are over. I have seen people play MP (Shooter is all I do) and what I see I don't like one bit, everybody out for themselves Ramboning every which way... not for me.

I am not that good so I like to take my time picking my baddies, not so easy now a days with your squad pulling out of cover and taking shots to everyone they see. What really pisses me off with this is that you usually rely on them covering your ass only to find out you have just gotten your head blown off by an enemy not 1 feet away from one of your teammates!

I guess I am still naive enough to believe that someone will come in and make a decent Campaign shooter...

Yeah I understand. Honestly, multilayer shooters are kind of like golf, no matter how great or horrible you are at the game you ALWAYS have your good and bad days. Sometimes everyone is running all over the place like bunch of chickens with their heads cut off and sometimes everyone works together as one cohesive unit and kicks butt. Oh and don't worry, I am still waiting for that decent campaign shooter too.

I would enjoy the game, even if linear, if they would let me take charge of my own character instead of being taken by the hand and pushed to go places I really don't or won't want to go... then you got the scripted scenes where they want you to kill 10 people in a row to gain xp or gain a new weapon (example) but if you don't learn the script method, you will never succeed.

I am not going to blame the consoles for this dumbing down because up to a point, the people making the games are just getting lazy and lazy.
