They said the same thing about Max Payne 3 too much Cinematics vs gameplay
Personally I like the cinematic type play it is supposed to make the game feel a little more real and draw you into the story a little deeper I believe the first max payne was like that with many cut scenes and crazy like situations that just made you play on
All games are like this now so if you plan on gaming got to get used to it
Hmm. I'm the oposite tbh. I'm liking Infinite more mainly because it feels streamlined now. Little things like ditching hacking or offloading a lot of tasks to Elizabeth (her tear skill is awesome), inventory/power up rejigged and the fact that she's probably one of the best NPC characters I've seen in a long time; useful and zero need to worry about her.
I was worried the rail sections were going to suck and suck badly but they are actually pretty fun when encountered. The above streamlining makes the combat sections playable in several ways. Options are good
Story wise nothing could beat the Originals immersion. Infinite has less impact, yet it's far from bland. And the cutscenes are never really intrusive. They're pretty quick which I can tolerate.
So I've got this long weekend ahead of me with no upcoming tests or homework and thus decided to get Bioshock Infinite. In fact, I'm installing it as I write this.
That said, can anyone tell me about the Season Pass? Is it worth it. I've already shelled out 60 bucks, now there's another 19 for the Season Pass? Need to know what it is before considering it.
Thanks.
Although this is about a different game, my take on game cinematics/movies cut scenes is it sometimes takes away from a game.
The half-life series was the best at this. Half-life was an amazing game when it came out. HL2 was pure great, still is in my opinion.
Many games have things to offer, it depends on if you enjoy the story. No other game has drawn me in like half-life, I still wait for half-life 3
Well, I just finished (like 20 minutes ago) Bioshock Infinite. And for now, all I will say is... WOW! What a great game with a great story. Very deep.
I love Bioshock 1 to death; in fact it’s up there as one of my favorites. With that, I’ll say Bioshock Infinite is just as good as the first one. Definitely way better than the second one.
Anyway I’ll be posting some more in-depth thoughts on the game later this week. Needless to say I’m in agreement with JackAlope52x’s score of 8.5/9.0 out of 10; though I could go a solid 9 of 10.
Anyway great game. Can't wait to see what they do with the upcoming? DLC.
This really is a great game not to be missed.
The game has an incredible story. And with all the Bioshock games, when you think it's over... another twist. I have to say I enjoyed this game as much as the first one.
BTW I way playing photographer in the game as I have well over a hundred screenshots. Really liked the look of the game. And it has some really good diffuse lighting in some areas. Really good looking game.
Agreed. I was pleasantly surprised. This game actually held my attention all the way through. And for me, that's saying something.
I often loose interest in a game and need to put it down a while, play something else a bit, and come back to it after a few days. But not with this game.
I love the fact they ditched those Hacking mini games. Though I loved BS1, those hacking games were the one thing I just hated. I liked them better in BS2, but they were still a bit annoying.
At any count, I must admit Infinite has to be one of my favorite games in the past year. Its certainly up there in the top 3 or so at this point.
Awesome story too, but I love that kinda stuff :)
Hmmmm .... we should have some sort of top 10 best games of all time somewhere. have everyone pick the best 3 they ever played and see what kind of list we get :)
