Games in Fullscreen Randomly Jump to Desktop Occasionally

So I've had this problem for a while now.. I ordered a new desktop PC and when I play games for a while, it will randomly jump to the desktop... I can then alt+tab or click the icon to bring the game back up, but it's very annoying. Sometimes it happens more than others. The weird thing is that prior to buying the desktop, I used a laptop and never had the problem, but then after I bought it, when I tried playing games on my laptop I had the same issue, so it's obviously something that both systems are using. Both machines are using Win 7 x64, although the desktop is Home Premium, and the laptop is Ultimate. So then I tried figuring out what's changed since then for both systems.. Most of my games are played through Steam, but it also happens to games that aren't played through it. The only changes I can think of on both machines since the issue occured are:
    1. I installed BitDefender. I tried uninstalling it from my desktop, and instead installed Avast (which I had on my laptop before i bought the laptop and bought BitDefender) and the issue still happens.

    2. I bought a Razer Naga Epic.. I haven't yet tried reverting to an older mouse, but that could be it maybe?

    3. I bought a Soundblaster Recon/Omega Wireless headset. Also haven't tried not using it, but it's crucial to my gaming.

Anyone heard of this or have any ideas? I searched Google for a while, but no one seemed to have any concrete answers.

    Thanks.

Nice to see another iBuyPower Purchaser. I thought I was nearly the only one around here.

Re: your issue, I can't see anything you mentioned causing the drop outs. I used to have issues like this way back when, and I really can't remember what, if anything, caused them. I would get rid of BitDefender and Avast and go to using MSE or Windows Defender and then back it up with Malwarebytes, but that's a personal preference kinda thing. The other two things you mentioned shouldn't cause this type of issue. (keyword = shouldn't)

Just for grins and giggles, I might go into msconfig and/or task manager just to see what kind of processes are running that might try to interrupt your gaming experience. Java updates, Adobe updates, Flash updates, etc, are always a pain in the proverbial backside, and can cause odd things to occur.

Enjoy your machine. I've had mine for 5-6 years now, and I am happy with it. I'll buy another from them if they offer one without the evil Win8 on it by the time I can afford a new one. Bought it through NewEgg. Best computer buy I've made in nearly 15 years.

Yeah it's a great computer, aside from the issue I'm having obviously. It makes some games unplayable due to if it minimizes, it will crash the game.. I've had that issue with Splinter Cell and now Dead Space 3. What makes it odd is that it seems to affect both my Desktop and now my Laptop, despite the fact that before I got the desktop, the laptop never had an issue, so it's gotta be some piece of hardware or software shared between the two. I guess I'll try just running no antivirus for a bit, and see what comes of it. I will post my findings here for all to see =)
Thanks for the help so far, we'll see how it goes.

    UPDATE -
It does in fact appear to be my Razer Naga Epic.. I decided to try unplugging the wireless/charging base (I use it wirelessly) and use an old crappy mouse instead, and didn't have any cases of it minimizing to the desktop like it normally would. This all makes sense seeing as this was a new piece of hardware for my laptop as well, and thus why it was affecting it.

So I guess my next question would be: does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Obviously it's not a widely known problem or else I would have found something in my searches. I'm open to any suggestions.. Unfortunately I've had the mouse way too long to take it back, and am hoping I didn't waste $130.

I have already updated/reinstalled the firmware a few days ago.

    Thanks.
