update: Well I still haven't bought a gaming PC, my plans sort of got puppied :) ( my BF found a puppy and now she lives with us ) so my spare money has been diverted towards her needs at the moment. I'm still going to buy one #sigh one day . Even with the DRM turn a round and even with the fact the playstation 4 does does look good I still want a gaming PC because I can play PC games with mods , where do people get these mods from ? and are they safe to download ?

Just found out that my $800 Fanatec Steering wheel will not be compatible with the X1. However it will be for the PS4.

    PS4 it is.

I've just about had it up to here with MS.... *raises hind very high*

I'm curious why MS would still opt for the proprietary HD? Other than the obvious reason they can make more money by selling less for more.

One thing I always loved about PS3 was that you could just pick up any size mobile HD and upgrade easily.

I know many may not consider this as a issue, but I do simply due to the digital aspect. Once you start getting a large library, especially any titles that are digital, it starts eating up space quickly. Being able to upgrade easily, and cheaply is a big plus.

Though I am disappointed Sony decided to go the route of PS+ required for online play. The saving grace, for me anyway, is that I would have PS+ regardless as I think its a very good value.

M$ is trying to copy the Apple's Marketing grip but it will fail and fail tremendously... This is like the Japanese Motorcycle brands trying to copy the H-D Marketing, it will never happen... it takes a really mind wash to make me want to spend 50 bucks on an H-D underwear and wear it proud or an H-D tattoo stamped on my body, To each his own I say but that is the very minority, just like the apple fanbois.

If M$ is going for that fanbase I wish them well but they are going it at it the wrong way me thinks... apple shares may be 100 times more valued than MS shares but yet, M$ makes billions more... just like H-D shares are worth more than Japanese shares but Honda outsells H-D at least 10 to 1.

Oh well, in the end, their games will get hacked immediately just like they do now and all they will do is piss off the innocents, the ones who actually pay for their product.

PS Plus going pay for MP isn't anything new. They've been saying that the free multiplayer service was a one console deal right from the get go with the PS3. I really can't hold it against them as it's something they've been pretty honest about all along.

If with the X1 you can just plug in to a USB port and use an external HDD for as much extra storage as you want, then I don't really think it will be much of a problem.

Some nice expanded info on the X1 laid out by this guy here.

External storage and ability to play from them is one good move they've made.

I understand why MS stuck with proprietary - but it still would have been nice to have the choice to whack a SSD inside. USB 3.0 external SSD...

Still bloody dirty about my wheel. It has USB ffs and fanatec is linked strongly with xbox. I know they want to sell new wheels, but an agreement between fanatec and MS about allowing USB connection should be done.

Forza was the only reason I even considered the X1. Gran Turismo is meh by comparison.

I know I'm getting older, but I've never been so underwhelmed about console releases.
