That looking like the video card is at fault. Is that really an ATI HD2400???

You need to find drivers for it. You might also check out the system specs for the game as that error is saying you need a Direct X 10 card and I'm not sure the 2400 is. Could be wrong though as I haven't looked it up yet.

Edit: the 2400 is DX10 capable - ATI Radeon

You can try and find drivers here: ATI Video Card Drivers

For HD 4000, HD 3000 and HD 2000 Series: AMD Catalyst

Update your DX files here: Update your Direct X files

I'm sorry but any help you get is going to be through here.

As for the system requirements, you need to first determine what your system (computer) has, than compare those to what the game says you need.

You can run a program like Speccy - System Information - Free Download to find what specs your system is. Than post them here and we'll see if your system is able to run the game.

If you are unsure of that, perhaps you could find someone in your area who knows a bit more about computers to help you out.

And as a general rule, you should never post your personal information like your e-mail address in a public forum. Also the staff here frowns upon such behavior. It's basically to protect you.

    Good luck.

Well you need to get the 32 bit version. Just look for the 32-bit version.

I know everything else works but now the problem is when I try to update DirectX to 10.0 it comes out as unsupported type of file and i'll give you the image. I'll also give a screenshot of the program you suggested me to.

First I don't know what I'm looking at in that first screenshot, but that isn't needed for you to update DX. You need to use the link I provided and follow those instructions.

Secondly, it appears your ATI HD2400 Pro is not support by the game....

    Minimum requirements for Battlefield 3

    • OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
    • Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Althon X2 2.7 GHz
    • RAM: 2GB
    • Graphic card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card, ATI Radeon 3870 or higher, Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or higher.
    • Graphics card memory: 512 MB
    • Sound card: DirectX compatibl sound card
    • Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version

The game requires a 3870 or higher, you have a 2400. Basically the card isn't strong enough for the game. You can do the updates like a stated in my first post, but I suspect they aren't going to help. You'll need to upgrade (get a newer) video card.

    Sorry
