    Surround Sound in BF2142!


    Hey all,

    I've been checking out windows 7 lately, and lately while I've been playing I noticed that there is no surround sound in battlefield! I've googled far and low for a fix, but unfortunately I can't find anything.

    I have:
    Windows 7 64bit RTM
    HT Omega Striker 7.1 - Latest drivers via website
    Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition aka bf2142 - Latest patch
    Logitech Z-5500 Speakers

    EDIT: NVM it is a driver issue. At the moment HT Omega cards can't do 5.1 surround sound for games like battlefield 2142 that require OpenAl.

    Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

    If you have onboard audio (like me, its quite good), then try that. This works especially well if your onboard audio is better than the soundcard you have.

Win 7 BF2142 sound issues

Just upgraded to windows 7 - no porblems. Installed Battlefield Bad company 2 and it runs fine. Went to play BF2142 and all is well until connecting to a server then the sound drops and is not heard of again in the game - once abck in windows sound returns! My dell XPS has a Sigma Tel Audio...

Hi. I have a ASUS LGA1156 Intel P55 DDR3 - 2133 ATX Motherboard I was told this mobo has surround 5.1 integrated with it. I just do not understand how to use it, or at least I think I don't. What cable do I need and what slot do i have to connect it to.
