    Crysis 3 - Opinions?

Has anyone else played Crysis 3 yet I just got through it and it was a fairly good game to play through. I found the story to be good and keeping me into it (I'm just a Crysis fan ) the game looked amazing on maxed out settings to bad geforce experience hasn't picked it up yet but still was visually pleasing. I didn't like this one as much as Crysis 2 the ending wasn't as good to me -->SPOILER<-- to me it would have been better if prophet would have died trying to stop the archangle. Other than that I would give the game a 9/10 I found it breath taking the visuals just stunned me and the gameplay as well as multiplayer which to me has many more options now is extremely fun and I would recommend this game to you guys check it out!

Played it a couple of times, I usually do Normal and then the hardest level, having to deal with Bosses is something that detracts me a lot from a game but I am also a Crysis fan and I had to do it.

I enjoyed the game for the most part but still, there were a few things that I did not like ever since the first one and still they haven't fix it...

1.- Even with a headshot, enemies tend to get up and not get kill until the 2nd or 3rd shot, more so when shooting them from a distance with a suppressed weapon (except sniper rifle) but even with it, unless is a definite head shot, it will not go down. And no, I am not talking about Aliens but regular human enemies. Its like they have some sort of "Force" shield around them

2.- About the only good thing they brought into the game was the Bow and, for me particularly, they ruin the whole immersion into the game when they took the optics out in Hardcore Mode because now you are pretty much guessing when using the bow as to where the arrow will land. I don't get it, you can pretty much use the sniper scope on a pistol (ok, so perhaps I'm exaggerating a bit here but I am trying to prove a point ) but not a single optic for the Bow? What was the idea or the logic behind this concept! .

Now, don't you go telling me there is an option and I just didn't see it or use it because it will pain me to no end. On the other hand, go ahead and tell me, it will give me an excuse to go for another play through

I am not going to lie, it scared the crap out of me in some parts, I'm a little yeller when it comes to horror but I did like the story line and yes... the end was a little cheesy if you ask me but then again, all the ending now a days are extremely cheesy so I'm guessing it goes with the territory.

I read it was downhill from Crysis 2, so I skipped it.

If it was offered sub $20 I might grab it then, though.

Kind of burned out on FPS games though, so I never buy them until on sale, no hurry... gives them time to improve it, also.
Painkiller is still my go to one, when the mood strikes.

If I could make changes to the bullet penetration options of Crysis 1 and skip the part where you are inside the Alien lair I would probably go through it again... same thing with C2 and now C3 (with an optic option for the Crossbow... that would be sweet)

Well Asta im pretty sure there was no optic besides the zoom in which i liked becuase at least there was some sort of way to get a closer look at your target while wanting to kill someone with the bow and yea faladu i dont usually buy crysis games when they come out wait till a price drop it recently dropped to around 40$, i love the bow online in cell vs rebel because its a silent 1 hit and if you know the map you pretty much gona do good throughout the match i hate how in the regular modes you gota take out shields first then be able to kill them just kills the regular mode for me because i love using the bow

The I guess I suck at using the bow and arrows because even at short distances, the arrows hit anywhere but at the enemy!

Still, I would love to be able to change the bullet penetration, even if that meant I would get kill easily as well... it would be worth it and more entertaining because I would have to be more careful but it would become a bit more realistic. I'm going to google this, surely someone has already done this.

No matter how many times I try to rationalize and say "They're wearing helmets" it still doesn't work. You're right, it's BS.
A pistol to the face is going cause dead, helmet or not...

God it's a ******* to aim all right when cloaked. The amount of 'by a whisker' misses I get is ridiculous.

Graphically, it's a gorgeous games. Storyline is ok. Reading the logs etc does help with the story immersion though.

AI is a bit - samey. Every new section it felt like the same firefight over and over again. Much better than COD style wave after wave, but still - it felt a tad monotonous at times.

As for the suit, they may as well turn the armor automatic 'when hit' and leave it soley to cloak/uncloak.

It's still one of the better FPS out there though and well worth grabbing.

This is unbelievable, I Can't find anything on the internet about Optics for the Bow in hardcore mode or better bullet penetration and I am not savvy enough to get into one of those ini or cfg files, I am to afraid to botch something out in a very bad way

All I find is mods for MP or better graphics (allegedly more realistic)... now that I have the new rig I will see if I try them but still, sad that there is a bunch of mods for eye candy and not a single one for better gameplay

At least I am glad that I am not the only one whining about these things though... I guess that age has something to do with it smarteyeball?
