Yes I got RCT original Deluxe version. It happens too. I tried running it in compatibility mode, same thing happens, both 98 and XP. Works fine on Vista. Kind of a new issue. I got into it a bit more, and now it is happening. Never happened before. Still same specs.

So I can not use the VPC from windows since I only have home premium?

you don't want to use XPMode anyway. It only supports a single resolution and desktop depth.

VirtualBox or Vmware with XP installed will be fine.

I just downloaded RCT2 from Direct2Drive.com and the game seemed to download from the site just fine...I just got this Toshiba Laptop with a AMD Turion card and 4 gigs of space. Its running on Windows 7 home edition also. I downloaded the game and when i click the icon nothing happens I have tried to mess with the compatibility feature and nothing....Can someone help PLEASE!!!

hey gice i found a way , i know its ridiculous but it worked for me, just need to save your game when you start it then safe like every 5-10min

I have the same problem in RCT2. And nothing helps..
But I have another problem. When I start the game, nothing happens.. Only both cores are on 50%, so I checked in task manager what is using them so much when nothing is running. It was rundll. When I dont kill it and I start the game, then it goes fine. But when I kill it game doesnt start.

I just downloaded a patch file for WackyWorld ver. named 'gruct2wwdp.rar'. And in the file, there is a RCT2.exe patch file. It works very well on Windows 7!! I've played the game all day without freezing!!! God, I'm so glad I can play RCT2 forever without annoyng.

Has it froze for you yet? Do you have a link for where you found the patch?
