Ok there is a registry fix that I found on the battle.net starcraft forums, I did it and it works 100% perfectly now. There is 2 fixes one for 64 bit and one for 32 bit I did the 64 bit one.

    See thread here:

Verified the compatibility reg key is a fix for the colours.

can't verify it fixes the freezes as well.

it doesn't, actually it increases the rate of freezing.

I have another way. For the people who it doesn't work for you can try my way but be warned that it may disrupt other tasks you have running.

    Step 1:

Create text file in wordpad an enter this text-
    Code:
    taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
    start explorer.exe
Step 2: Save the file as
    Code:
    RWE.batch
Make sure you include the .batch at the end.

Step 4: Put the RWE.batch file on your desktop (if not already)

Step 5: Double click the batch file (Windows Explorer Should restart)

Step 6: As soon as your desktop comes back start StarCraft really quick!

    Step 7: Success! (maybe)

Also if your more advanced you can try and add the starcraft directory under "start explorer.exe so that you don't need to click it after.

Hope it works! It did for me.

I'll have to try that. The other things aren't working for me.
