Windows 7: PC Wireless Gaming Receiver ''USB Device not recognized''

PC Wireless Gaming Receiver ''USB Device not recognized''

I get this error upon connecting it, I have the correct driver installed on my PC (1.2). I have no idea what is going on as it does not appear under Human Intface devices in device manager so I can't manually install the driver. Instead the unknown device appears in serial bus controllers or something like that at the bottom of device manager and has no drivers when manually installing from device manager

If you mean the wireless reciever for the xbox controller then follow these couple of steps.
Go into device manager ans right click the unknown device icon.
Select update driver.
Select browse my computer for driver software.
Select let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
Scroll down to microsoft common controllers( this maybe called something else but you will see).
Then select xbox 360 wireless reciever for windows,
