    Xbox 360 controller not responding!!!

    Hello,

I thought it was a good idea to play WWII plane battle game called War thunder with controller. I goggled searched it and there was a post of a custom driver made for playing this game with the 360 controller but it is in Japanese. However I installed the custom driver as instructed. Now my controller isn't responding. Even if it responds it runs only a few minutes.

Controller properties is in Japanese language! I have uninstalled the device and even each drivers individually. Downloaded latest driver from Microsoft, nothing works. Especially the Japanese language wont go away in device collaborating menu settings. Cant read anything!

Please your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to Seven Forums MonolithAI. Rather then tackling this odd problem, have you tried a System restore point from before you attempted this?

    Do like "A Guy" suggested.

but I have to ask why would you need "custom drivers" for a game? windows detect and support a xbox 360 controller to 100%. All you would need to do is boot the game and map the keys if the game don't have built in support for a 360 controller

Well the the game wasn't designed for controller so I had to search for an alternative and ended up with this custom driver for 360 controller. Its been months, I don't think I remember at which point to restore the system. Is there any alterenatives to this issue!

The issue is connected with this error- PCI Simple Communication controller- No driver found. Where can I find the driver?

No offense, but you installed the driver, you'd know better where it was installed. Generally speaking you will find drivers in C:\windows\System32\drivers. But for what you seek, you'd probably be better served rolling back the driver for the controller.

Start> In search box type device manager> Enter> Expand Sound, video, and game controllers> Right click the game controller listing and choose Uninstall> Reboot the PC and Windows will find and install the default driver

Well the issue seems not the controller driver. I was able to change it back to English language. Its this error- PCI Simple Communication controller- No driver found.

    From properties-details-hardware ids

    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2E24&SUBSYS_00288086&REV_03
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2E24&SUBSYS_00288086
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2E24&CC_078000
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2E24&CC_0780

Don't know what to do with this info!!!

Try what I suggested above. If no joy, run the System File Checker, and see what it finds
