No one knows when it will get released.
We never know when it's going to be released at console launch. Rockstar never says until a while after.
There has been no official announcement or confirmation, but that's normal.
Everyone knows they're working on it. While there has been no official announcement and they won't talk about it on the record, they're also not trying very hard to hide the fact that it will be released for PC later on. They posted job listings to quote "bring the latest console releases to PC" on their website not to long ago. It's pretty obvious that means porting GTA V.
Probably 6 months to a year. That's about the average range for a GTA game to go from console to PC release. Also, they have to port it and they always update the graphics and add a couple of new features to the PC release and that takes time to do.
Every GTA released on consoles since GTA III has been like that and GTA V will be no different. [The first four GTA games were on PC first or concurrently with PS1, GTA I, II, London 61, and London 69.] Some time next year around spring or summer most likely.

Rockstar hasn't said but due to rockstars past paterns in release dates from console to pc version. Most ppl are saying it will probably be about 6 months or so.

Nvidia also slipped up last month (I think) about it coming to PC, and quickly retracted their statement.

Also, this petition has nearly reached its target. GTA 5 PC version petition speeds towards 500,000 signatures- The Inquirer
Hopefully when it reaches its target, Rockstar will say something about it

They don't have to say anything about it, and it's a bit pointless as there's no doubt GTA V will arrive on PC. Just look at the timeframes for previous games. They all took 6-7 months to arrive.

Rockstar... I still shudder at the very thought of it.
And I have to say I'm reluctant to even play GTA 5 even when (if) it gets released on the PC. First and foremost because I publicly declared I'll never buy their games again for good reason.
From what I've heard so far, it sounds like the biggest game they've ever done since beginning the franchise, but watching a couple of those shiny 10/10 reviews on YouTube I just smirked - something tells me they just went WAY over the top with this game.
It's like a chick going shopping just because "she HAS to have that new shiny Prada shoes" or whatever.
