Skyrim Performance Boost?

i have a problem with skyrim. no matter if the game is stock or not, it stutters for me. when im walking, turning the cmera, etc. i have 4k textures installed, flora overhaul, and lush trees and grass. how can i stop or reduce this stuttering? im getting anywhere from 20fps to 100fps. i have vsync disabled.

the stutter seems to happen when i move into new places or view the places. for instance if i circle around an area for a while, it runs perfect. no stutter. but if i move to an area, then move around to a new one, i get constant stutter until i guess it loads everything.

ive tried reinstalling the game many times.

Could be the CPU, didn't you have the same issues with the last one? Maybe it's a know fault and that CPU is just no good.

Didn't you try dropping all the settings to low last time and it still had no effect on the problem?

I think Solar said it was an issue with that particular CPU.

its not hardware. its to do with the game. happens to everyone's game. I just want to know how to reduce it.

It doesn't happen to my game when I play it. Skyrim runs smooth as silk on my system modded similarly to your game. To be honest, mine is probably even more heavily modded. Vanilla Skyrim flies and doesn't stutter in the slightest bit ever.

Edit: Research shows it is your CPU. Skyrim [like most modern PC games] is optimized for quad core CPUs and does not like or support 6 core systems. Many games won't be affected, but Skyrim is prone to issues because of things like that. Bethesda seriously needs a new engine, Gamebryo is getting dated and hasn't had a serious overhaul in years. Skyrim isn't that much more than a slightly recoded Oblivion with a more streamlined interface and gameplay.

To be honest 6 core CPUs aren't very good for gaming. Games are quad core limited and having the extra two cores causes problems with a lot of games. Though, many games will run fine [by ignoring the extra cores] and it's plenty fast enough to keep up with your GPU. Though, you're not getting 4.4 ghz out of it with just four cores running in games, so it may bottleneck and cause stuttering in games because they are not using the full CPU.

You want a quad core CPU in a gaming rig for optimal performance. A 6 core is more for animation and heavy processing loads. Games tend to either ignore two of the cores, or the extra cores cause problems.

I suggest that you replace your CPU with a quad core unless you're using your PC to do advanced physics modeling, animation, or some other CPU intensive operations that take advantage of having six cores. Games do not and it's the source of your Skyrim problem.

If it happens to everyone then it sounds like the game is totally flawed. I assume everyone must have gotten round the problem or are just living with it? If everyone is affected then there must be a lot of talk about it online with solutions and such?

I think its the flora mod that's making the biggest impact.

i shut off 2 cores and tried it again, and it made no difference.

ok, figured out the problem. it was the bethsda HD pack that was causing conflict with flora I guess. so deleted the stock one and installing the 4k one flora, and lush trees.

any other graphical mods that look amazing?

get the "better bodies" mod - it's the best..
