    [WTA] Advice on gaming rig

Hi everyone. I have these items and I would like to assemble them to be my gaming rig

    1. MoBo: Asrock N68C-GS FX

    2. CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 455 3.3GHz (triple core)

    3. RAM: 6GB DDR3

    4. VGA Card: MSI GTX650 2GB 128bit GDDR5

    5. PSU: Corsair VS550 series 550W

    4. Fan casing: 4

My question is, are they good enough to run up HD games at medium setting? Please advice me. Thanks!

    Hello asianman,

Can you provide us with the budget that you are planning to spend on your rig? This way we can give you more options for the hardware

Hi. I already bought the items as listed on the first post but just not yet assemble them. Just wanna know whether it fits the requirements to play games at low/medium setting. If not, I will switch to another items as advised. Fortunately I got a seller who is willing to accept back the items I bought, provided that it is still unopened.

Ahh! Items listed are good enough to play new games at medium to high settings. You can think of increasing RAM in future. 6 GB, for now is enough.

Assmeble the PC and start enjoying your games.

Yup! Water cooling is a good option. But, once the PC is assembled, keep a track of GPU temps with MSI Afterburner. If the temps on idol are between 30-40 C and on load they are between 60-70. Then that means your cabinet fans are doing there job. Else, go for water cooling.

haha...you are right. But it is not easy to come by these days. I'm from Malaysia, that icy cooling thingy costs around RM1000.00. However it is worth buying for gaming rig. I have tested my VGA card and ran a couple of games at the highest setting possible. This is the result after playing Crysis 2 almost 1 hour with "Extreme" graphic setting at 1280x1024 resolution

Nice temps! are these temps after playing for 1 hour?

Just go with it. Enjoy the games and congrats for your new rig.
