You'd get better performance and the game would look a bit better with weapon dof and motion blur off.
i like them on. i like that "realistic" feeling when u turn your eyes fast around.

i was just impressed with the 20% scaling rate. but i eneded up turning it back to 100%. on some maps, the fps dips below 50.

Lol that's a bit of a hit enit.
I used to get a mahooosive fps hit around C flag on siege of shanghai when the building had been bought down but disabling weapon dof solved that for me with no noticeable difference to the look of the game.

Sorry if this belongs in either the video card thread or hardware thread, but I got BF4 for christmas and I'm wondering if I need to upgrade my pc? It ran ok on my system, but I'm getting some random slow downs and choppiness.

    My pc:
    XPS 9000 (dell)
    i7-920
    6gb RAM
    HD 5870

Yeah, the system is a few years old now. Should I get more RAM or a new video card AND more RAM?

I didn't get a lot of time to mess with many of the settings. I tried it on ultra, high, then medium.

I also wasn't running the latest AMD drivers either, so I downloaded 13.12 and installed it, but didn't have time to see if it made a big difference.

I just read about unparking cores and that it might help with the framerate?

I don't need to run the game on ultra everything, I'd just like to get rid of the choppiness.

    Thoughts?
