    old games in Winxp mode - windows 7 pro


    i have a bunch of old games that i would like to play on my windows 7 machine will Win xp mode handle the sound and graphics i have a pretty hefty pc. MSI graphics card gtx 660 and 16gb of ram. plenty of hard drive space. 4.2ghz amd Quad core processor. sometimes running compatibility mode doesnt work like running in Winxp sp2 mode.

    Depends on the game usually, you should google each game in question as some might have community patches to make them work on Win 7 or some special configuration. You can also check Good Old Games (www.gog.com) for the occasional must have game.

    I have Need for speed II (NFS II) it doesn not run properly in windows 7 poffessiona. I tried to configure the compatibillity settings and run the ".bat" file which i downloaded on the internet as i was insructed in this forum, but still it does not play with proper graphics, i mean it runs but the graphics are too bad what do i have to do in order to play the game clearly. i really love this game please healpme!

    My PC specs are:

    CPU: Intel Duo Core 2.20GHz

    RAM: 2GB

    HDD: 150GB

    32-Bit Operating System

    VGA: 358 MB ( 64MB-video memory & 294-system memory )

    You can try DosBox for NFS 2. Google DosBox NFS 2
