Okay, so system restore will only mess with the games and such I loaded? Because I have some stuff in documents, and downloads that I would like to keep. If so I will probably do it immediately, and get this friggin thing over with.
Best regards! :) |

Again, System Restore does not touch your data... read below (from Microsoft's Website)
Quote:
Sometimes installing a program or driver can make Windows run slowly or unpredictably. System Restore can return your PC's system files and programs to a time when everything was working fine, potentially preventing hours of troubleshooting headaches. It won't affect your documents, pictures, or other data.

Well, shoot. Just restored the computer to the one that was farthest back, and it didn't fix it. Is there a way I can restore it back farther than my farthest restore point? Or do I have to return the system to factory default? If not, would you mind telling me how to put the ntdll.dll into System32?
I appreciate the help. |

I did all of those except for the data check. None of them did the trick, sadly.

Before going for the ntdll.dll file, have you installed the game again and patched it to the newest version?
Normally I would say that the .dll files are under windows\system32 but after doing a search on my PC I see that I have a few ntdll.dll files and not all point to the same location so, No... I am not going to tell you how to put it because I have never done it before and I don't want to be responsible. Now, what I can tell you, and at your own risk, is that... normally, all you do is download a fresh copy of the file in question and you copy/paste it to your Windows\System32 location... some other times, you also want to copy it to System\SysWOW64. Warning... Again, at your own risk! |

Hey, nice to hear that the issue got resolved. Can you also let us know how you did that?
Did you install missing .dll file from external drive? |

No. (Sorry for the triple post. Didn't know how that happened.
![]() I just hooked up an external disc drive that we have, and it worked. There must be something wrong with the internal drive. Maybe the sensor is dirty? I'm not sure.. I just updated the driver, so I know it's not that. |
