Left4Dead Can`t run in Window 7 Ultimate 64Bit?

    Left4Dead Can`t run in Window 7 Ultimate 64Bit?


    I hope I can get help in here!
    I don`t have any idea how to solve it,
    I just update my OS to Window 7 Ultimate 64Bit OEM,
    After I install all driver, everything working fine,
    I try to test my gaming performance,
    Warcraft III is running perfect,

    When I try to run left4dead, the window pop-up,
    "left4dead has stopped working"
    I had no idea how could I fix it!
    Any one had this problem?
    Help me please

    Have you tried to run L4D in Compatibility Mode for Windows Vista: Compatibility Mode

    Also...have you updated the game to the latest version?

    I am running L4D on Window 7 Ultimate 64Bit without problem. I did get it to run better by disabling the "use multiple cores" option in the L4D Video Options Control panel.
    (of Note: you might have to run L4D AND Steam using the "run as Administrator" option)

    yeah, steam has some problems i can't run bioshock but everything else runs fine including L4D, stupid steam

    More likely a driver issue i think. I have both L4D and Bioshock on my PC and they run fine. Both run using Steam.
