    Standalone Games

Has anyone got a link to an e-tailer selling games that third parties such as steam, etc. are not needed. I mean you load the game and play of your own machine. FPS or role playing would be interesting. There is probably a term for what I am describing. I just am not aware of it.

Older graphics perhaps. But I found Neverwinter Nights 2 enjoyable, and it works on Win7.
    Battlefield series.
Depends on what you are looking for. Don't need a link, just look up any retailer, online or in store. Walmart, gamestop, etc. Or search for it with Bing/Google

Pretty much all the current "popular" games are going to require some form of digital game manager (GFWL, Steam, Origin). If you want to avoid those, you may have to look for older games, or a company outside of the big developers (Bethesda, THQ, Bioware, etc) that aren't necessary tied to a game manager. Witcher 1 & 2 comes to mind, as does the earlier Fallout & Oblivion series.

You could also check out this site - GOG.com they do specialize in "DRM free" games, including the upcoming Witcher 3 game.

As to the term you're looking for, probably "DRM Free" as that's the term GOG uses.

    Good luck.
