I noticed old mate Alex1986 got the chop - what a surprise since he was such an agreeable chap

Since I don't really keep up with games news these days (avoid hype, avoid disappointment) I just noticed Sniper Elite III is 6 days away from release... I hit pre-order as fast as my fingers could lol. I absolutely loved Sniper Elite V2 and was just wondering today when the 3rd version was to be released. If it's as good as V2, I'll be a happy chap. X-ray cam of Exploding heads and testicles just doesn't get old

In the mobile area, I've been playing a bit of Deer hunter 2014 and Real Racing 3 on the iPad. I flat out refuse to pay for in app gold or tokens so progression can be damn slow, but it's still fun for a quick toilet gaming session lol.

Although Real Racing 3 can be played as long as you like if you don't mind re-racing completed events to make cash (which I don't). Since it's an EA backed game (boo) it has a high quality finish and some good licensing for cars and tracks. Using tilt for steering works pretty well too. It also looks really good at the retina display resolution. I can't wait till 4K displays become the norm, or at least affordable. It's going to make 1080/1200P look so 320x240... :)

However the more I play some of these mobile games, the more I'm really disappointed that "in app purchases" is the direction devs have gone. Understandable why, but it's ruining some potentially really fun and repayable games. There's some great new IP and gameplay styles that are just flatout ruined by greed

I always like sniper games. As far as mobile games, I always play one called Lane Splitter on my phone.

Same. The only Sniper game I didn't like though was Sniper Ghost Warrior. That thing was just sub-par.

Another cool mobile game I found on my iPad (also availble on Android) is Plague Inc. It's your job to manipulate bacteria/viruses in order to beat a cure and infect and wipe out humanity. Surprisingly fun wiping out humanity :)

That was definitely a good score. I was quite surprised when I saw it was totally free for keeps.

It's certainly worth a play. One of the rare games I've replayed multiple times. Tbh, the X-ray kill cam is really what makes the game for me.

I've also just started Wolfenstein. So far it's pretty enjoyable for a run n gun with the option of a bit of stealth. Cant play in surround though, which is a pity. Natively the aspect ratio is a mess and using flawlesswidescreen makes the game crash. The perk system is okay too. It gives you a bit of incentive to play a few different ways.

Since ive been playing A LOT of cs go i decided to roll back in time, purchased the complete collection on steam sales for £11.50, because i already have go i didnt get the 2nd version to gift to someone which i thought was a bit crappy considering i just paid for it for no reason, but none the less source, 1.6, condition zero and condition zero deleted scenes still made it worth while as far as savings go, loving source so far, taking me back in time for sure, i wonder how i'll feel when i boot up 1.6!

The more I get through Wolfenstein, the more I'm enjoying it and it's certainly got some replay value, at least to try the alternative timeline and unlock all the secret areas etc.

it's certainly better than the previous game.

Even though I was done and done with WWII games I thoroughly enjoyed Sniper Elite I and SE II was even better because of the added skeleton camera, that was just superb... even if I felt a little bit like a serial killer because I enjoyed it so damn much

I did not give the Zombie version more than a few minutes and decided against it but I never thought we would get to see a third and I am really glad I came to this post... thanks

smarteyeball is right, Sniper Ghost Warrior looked good on paper but wow, I was barely able to finish it on Normal... did not bothered going at it again in Hardcore mode. Even the number 2, it was just slightly better and did nothing for me.

I watched the SEIII trailer and of course it looked awesome (but they all pretty much do), what attracted me more to it is that it seems to be in the desert and that would give us a lot of free roaming play options and places to really snipe from the distance... at least, that is what I am hoping.

I also saw the gameplay done in Normal or Easy mode and while the graphic quality is not as good as the trailer, I am going to enjoy playing the game a lot... I can't wait!

I was seriously thinking of getting that game but I think I'll wait since I decided to return to school. I'm still very curious though so we'll see.

In the meantime I'm going to get Metro Last Light Complete edition, which is going on Steam for $6.79. I won't be playing it anytime soon, but for that price it's hard to pass up :)
