Well, I am a little different than most here. I only play FPS games and only play SP as my internet is terrible and I get ping times of over 150 most of the times. I happen to like most of the COD games, but if you only play FPS games, your choices are quite limited.
You may not be as different as you think you are, well, at least not in my view as I am pretty much the same, albeit, my internet is solid but I still refuse to get into MP

Now, being said that, I normally wait for the prices to get down to a comfortable level (20 to 25 bucks) is as much as I am willing to pay for a Game simply because more and more they are forgetting about us SP/Campaign players and they only interested in MP... even if the games are far from finish. One thing I am not willing to do is pay to become a beta tester for them, no sir. Anybody can throw away 60 bucks but for me, is the principal not the money that is involve here.

I will keep an eye on the Real Gameplay and also on FC4 even though the latter is more of an exploration shooter game than just a shooter but this is an UBI game and as such you got to be careful because they do make the worse console ports and I doubt this will be any different.

At any rate, please comeback and tell us how the game is as soon as you install it and play with it for a bit.. we will be here salivating and living precariously with your reviews

Thanks for your comments, AstaLaVista. I will let you know how I like it. It's funny, I have always been like you. I would never consider paying $60 for a game. But, I'm down to one game I like and I have over 1,000 hours of playing it. I'm so darned tired of that game I was willing to pay the $60 just for something else to do. If my memory serves me correctly, I think this is the first game I have ever bought that cost more than $35, and may be the last.

I also agree 100% with you on UBI. I had a couple of games with them I started to like, but the port was so bad, it was almost unplayable. I uninstalled UBI and all the games.

I also am amused at how many people dislike COD. I happen to like it, but I also like BF games too. But, seeing how COD is the largest selling franchise in gaming, it must have something going for it. Probably I just like most any decent War type FPS game. Even some of the older ones I like. I liked, and still occasionally play BFBC2. It is older and the graphics are bad, by today's standards, I like it. I seriously loved COD4 Modern warfare, as old as it is, I played BF3 to death and tried to play BF4. I liked the game and beat it on every lever 3 or 4 times, between crashes. They kept patching it and it finally got to where it wouldn't even load. But, I did like it.

But, I'm a lot like you. I don't like paying that much for a game. On the other hand, I've probably spent several thousand dollars on games I hate and refuse to have installed. So, in that light, I guess $60 on a game I most likely will like isn't that bad. Whether others like it or not, really doesn't matter to me.

essenbe.. I respect your choice for playing FPS games and well now I can understand better but hey don't consider your self different from most of us you have 150 pings I have over 220+ in every MP game and besides that BO2 is the only game I play over lan with my friends in a gaming café and 99% of the times I prefer to play Single Player games and buy them you can even see my Steam Library although I play more then 1 category but MP I hardly play and wasted money for BO2 to play online which I couldn't actually played due to worst pings!

Boogieboy, I understand. I've tried to play online and with my crappy internet, it is almost impossible. I've even shot an opposing player and seen him fall only to find out he had killed me. I get real tired of all that, plus I find little point in a bunch of guys running around killing each other for no point other than killing each other. I much prefer SP mode where you go into a town to take it back from the enemy. You usually know who the good guys are and who the bad guys are, and there is a point and an objective to accomplish. But, I know others who feel different. That's fine with me. Whatever you like is OK with me. Sometimes I wish I did like other type games and envy those who do.

I also know pre ordering a game is buying 'a pig in a poke', as we say. It's taking a chance that the game will be good. I've taken a lot bigger chances before than $60, and I know I am taking a chance. But, so far I've liked all of the BF and COD games. Some more than others. But I've played the one I have so much, I'm willing to take the chance. Hopefully I'll get $60 worth of enjoyment out of it, just because I don't have much left to play, even if it is not the best one out.

I just feel like that If I like a certain thing, that's just what I like. If you like something I don't, really I wish I was more like you. I'm friends with Paul Picks, he likes driving games a lot. I have a few, some I like more than others, but I have never cared for them. I Wish I did like them a lot. There is a lot more choices to play with them than with FPS. He tells me all about them and I'm glad he is having fun. After all, that's what gaming is all about. Having fun.

I honestly wish I liked more games than I do and envy most of you guys that play all kind of games. I wish I did like them. I have a lot of the games many talk about here. I listened to everybody raving about how great Skyrim is, so I bought it. I never could get into it. And I really tried. I said everyone else said it was great, so I'm going to make myself play it until I figure it out and start liking it. I played it for hours and hours and finally quit it. I just couldn't get into it. But, I am envious of those who loved it. It just isn't for me.

My favorite FPS of all time has to be the original COD Modern Warfare. Dam I played the crap out of that game. I think it was the first ever game I actually enjoyed enough to complete the single player. I even played the SP again I liked it so much! But I also totally loved the MP in it. I must have spent 100s of hours on the thing. I got to the point where I was pretty much winning every MP match I played. That was nice. I had a great ping on the servers I played on though it was like 20 or something. It makes a big difference. They say anything over 100 ping and it's not good.

That game even has prop hunt now lol.

Essenbe if you have not played the original F.E.A.R. it is an excellent shooter and the AI is quite smart for the time too (kick things over for cover ect). The slo-motion thing is really cool too. It should be on steam now for cheap.

I'v started a new run on the first Stalker game.

The Original FEAR scared the crap out of me but I gotta admit, I did play it over and over and over again... through time of course but I hardly ever do that with games that scare me LOL

Funny how I used to love playing Gran Turismo on PS1 ( some of you guys are probably thinking that I made a mistake and I meant to say PS4 ) but after I was done with the first 2 or 3, it no longer carried any value or enjoyment to continue playing the others. I tried to get into Grid 2 but even with a Joystick I was unable to play with it for more than a few minutes. I do hate the fact that I only enjoy FPS games, more so when I realize that more and more there are less and less of them
