finally finished Bioshock infinite! Damn this was an amazing game!!!! now i cant wait to play it in 4k as soon as it is enabled on the Kepler GPUs.
Are you getting a 4K monitor Noober?

Or will it run in 4K "mode" or something like the new Firestrike update? I kind of don't understand that. How can you run 4K on a non 4K screen? Surely that renders every 4K screen made a waste of time?
At any rate, the results were not good for me in the Firestrike 4K benchmark, my 780 managed 13FPS in GPU test 1 and 8FPS in GPU test 2
    It looked like crap lol.

Well I just now finished off Wolfenstein: The New Order. Great game, good story, but a bit too short for in my opinion.

Oh, and Bioshock Infinite is a great game. Hope you played the Burial at sea DLC as well.

He will be Up-scaling to it

I don't get it either, it happened with 480p, 720p and it is still happening with 1080p and now, 4K TVs. Everybody is fast-roping to the praising of 4k, more so when just watching regular HD TV channels that are barely 480or 720p... how can you Upscale (marketing loves to throw the word out) to 4K when the signal only goes as far up as 720p? Is it more self brain washing than real changes?

It sounds like a load of BS to me (upscaling that is). So basically like the old "HD ready" tv's. Yeah ready for HD but they can only run a native 720. I tried it on my TV at home, it really doesn't look much different.

I thought the whole point of 4K was that it ran like 4x the pixels of a regular monitor. How can you possibly get the same effect on a screen without the extra pixels? It's not going to be as sharp is it?

I admit I know nothing on this subject so I will be prepared to be beaten down by someone who knows more lol.

Upscaling to me does seem to help the image quality a little bit. But its a minor improvement. And watching a DVD on my HDTV, that my BluRay Player upscales does look a little nicer than at its native resolution. But, no where near a 1080p Bluray. They are just leagues apart even though they are both 1080p (at least what the TV is getting is a 1080p signal)

The only way to experience a higher resolution as it is intended is if the source is at that resolution or higher. The upscale is just a minor improvement.

Of course Im talking film, but I think games will work the same way. The source is what it is, and theres only so much you can do with it.

I suppose if it helps a little and it don't cost anything then it can't be a bad thing. I just hope people don't think that's what true 4K looks like because I am sure it will look a dam sight better.

Cheers for your experience on it Wishmaster.

4K screens are dropping in price like crazy here in the UK. A year ago my 2560x1440p Dell was well over £400. Now you can pick up a 28" 4K screen for £300-£400. I would like one but for 2 things. 1 I think for 4K to be useful it would need to be on a 30" plus screen size. Honestly at 2560x1440p writing is not big and I think on a 28" 4K screen you would need a magnifying glass to read websites etc and 2 you need a hell of a GPU or 2! to get good framerates at 4K.

Well one good thing about being poor is the fact that you don't care whether they are at full price or marked down 50% from the fisting price they had when they were priced at retail because you can not afford it either way.

AC4 Black Flag really made me upset. What's wrong with Ubisoft really? The game is just way to difficult from the start and so much complications they have put in the game. I hate the hunting, gathering resources for every single thing. The AC series are just getting bigger and bigger but more complicated as they are progressing through the development of the series! Even the ratio of losing of every single mission even the secondary missions is higher then the winning well for me really. I mean what are they trying to achieve in AC games? this isn't GTA V and even in GTA there aren't things involved like this.. if they are making AC Unity more complicated then ever then I'm not going to waste my money on it I don't give a damn about French revolution and not even interested to see how Ubisoft is going to mix up there shit of how French invented the perfume by killing a Templar accidently. They are just making non-sense things and adding pile of garbage in every new game.
