Have you tried the Compatability mode tactic?
Should work.

have tried that now, did Compatibility on the shortcut but didnt work either
after some searching i found that throttling thingy is only for receiving packages but not for the sending :O
How much RAM do you have? I had 6 GB, now I only have 4 GB, and the LAG went away.
Also, my computer is alot faster.
i have 4gb also
EDIT: i was wondering, first time i got the computer and installed win7 64bit it said 4gb(3.19gb usable) and i searched the problem and changed something in bios so i got all 4gb usable, maybe the problem lies there? and maybe it helps if i update the bios? Also i checked the msconfig start alternative and it is on selective start :O
EDIT: No change, i give up till further

Just registered to say THANK YOU
These 2 thigs solved my problem in all x32 games
1. in cmd : netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled
2. In regedit :
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile set to FFFFFFFF hex
Reboot
Specs:
Win7 x64 ultimate
MSI P35 platinum
Realtek HD sound latest drivers
ATI x1300 latest drivers
Specs: windows 7 32-bit
ATI HD 4650 1gb
2gb ram
INTEL P4 3.0 ghz
Sound Blaster Audigy model 0570
My issue deals with erratic FPS drops when my sound card is enabled (could be either the onboard realtek or SoundBlaster, i've tried both). Yet when I disable the sound card.., my FPS awesome.. Yet any installation of sound drivers on the computer leads to staggering FPS drops..
By the way.. the game I mostly play is Counter-strike 1.6, and I got this card thinking that it would handle that old game like a charm yet my old Radeon 9200 gave more stable performance on XP than what I'm getting right now on 7.
I just can't get the audio and graphics drivers to work and maintain my high fps.
I have tried the FFFFFFFF hex trick, and disabling the service altogether.. no dice.. I feel like I'm getting close though?
I just found out that anytime I am using the sound card, I was just listening to an mp3, my CPU Util goes up to 100% ??
But I can disable all sound and cpu is ok.. Am I doomed?
