Hmm I never thought about the refresh rate, however I cannot play games on the TV for more then an hour without getting a headache, I have the issue with some CRTs and certain refresh rates on them, I'll have to compare them, thanks for the idea. I'll get back to you.

Is it possible to enable smoother window animations?
Hello! I've recently downgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 7 (Server 2008 R2 :p) and one thing annoys me a little. Window animations are not super-smooth. Vista, 8, 8.1 and 10 have VERY smooth window-opening animation, but not 7 :( I've been looking through registry editor and didn't find anything...

Pictures pixelated when zoomed in on (smoother in XP)
Well, along with my videos being pixelated and grainy (working on this in separate threads), my pictures get grainy when zoomed in on as well. It appears as if Windows 7 isn't using smoothed transitions at all, while the same picture zoomed in on in XP doesn't have the same blocky/pixelated effect....

How do I make the text in Desktop icons smoother?
This is probably what bothers me most about Windows 7. Unlike Windows XP, the text on desktop icon looks "ugly" (on bright backgrounds). Is there a way of having the desktop icon text look exactly like Windows XP?
