    Counter-Strike Source crash in W7

After doing a clean install of W7 RTM x64, and installing some app that i need i've installed my steam so i can play my css. But when i right click on a text imput box(like the console, name input, in game chat) the game instantly crashes to desktop saying "hl2.exe has stopped working"
I though that it has to do to the fact that i have multiple keyboard layouts
(3 actualy), but ive started ctfmon.exe in 64 and 32 bit!

    Can anyone help?

What does the Event Viewer log show?

I have x64 and play css no problem, I can right click on the boxes and the options are cut, copy, paste and language (uk, us). So the only problem I can think of that might cause it is if there is a problem to do with the languages part of the right click menu which is causing it to crash. It's more than likely because it's not been programmed for handling errors on this and is why it crashes. Do you have multiple languages installed, etc? I'd look at that area first.

Also what is this app you mentioned installing that you need? It might be causing a conflict.

Yes i have 2 MUI on my comp:Serbian(latin) and English(But ive tryed before ,even when my MUI didnt existed, and it was doing that)

    And i have 3 keyboard layouts:Serbian(latin)-always on,Serbian(Cyrillic) and English(US)

    Those programs are(in order):drivers,codecs,defrag,ccleaner...

Will try to redownload css-maybe there is some data corruption?
I thought that many people have this error but it seems im alone.

The direct quote below is from JoeHobart from windowsbbs.com:

"This is the translated #GP code the fault handler raises, which the operating system displays as an 'Access Violation', whos numerical form is c thousand 5. Its the operating system telling you that a program has malfunctioned and tried to reference no mans land. It has nothing specific to do with any particular program, or a brand of software, this is straight from the CPU and kernel of the operating system."

It appears to point to steam or css itself. To test things out you could try using just a single language, or if you have any other apps running or sarting up disable them too. Have you posted anything on the steam or css forums? Maybe you can get some assistance there too.

    Nice Answer!
But ive spotted this malfunction with Half-life 2 too!
    Just click and BAM!
This can mean that steam is the problem, or hl2 and css are sharing the
    same engine files(less likely)

Interesting that ive run the two games without a prob on XP and Vista
with the same .gcf files and the same languages!

When you said "you could try using just a single language" i think of
the keyboard layouts because ive got the same error with/without the
    MUI.

not sure if this helps , but under Steam>my Games , select a game , then select Properties>Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

I know I had to do this once to ensure it worked in one of the versions of Win7 (cant remember which one )

Hey guess this: ive googled "APPCRASH hl2.exe scenefilecache.dll" and on steam forums: Platform Error: Module failed to initialize - Steam Users' Forums
found that error was caused by steam ingame community!
It has all in common: its from steam and it in half-life 2 and CSS
Will try to disable it and try!
Thx for the help, now i can go back to my addiction to css with the
    background of Windows 7!

Tried the "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" -everything was OK
Tried to disable In-game community - no dice!
Tried do remove all of the Serbian layouts -works!

Cmon Im running it in XP on my 5 year old rig with XP on min detail and
    lag with ALL 3 LANGUAGES!
And i cant run it on my NEW COMP IN HIGH DETAIL and Win7!

Is there any fix for this?

    Thx for helping!
