Many games crashing, no BSOD, Speccy+FurMark attached

Seems this is rather popular topic here. I cannot really remember when it started, but it will be more than 2 months now. Crash happens quite soon after game starts, usually not even like 10 minutes. It doesn't end up with BSOD, but sometimes whole system gets frozen and it's not even reacting to reset button. I have to power down whole machine.

Crashing games set is various and it's not always about graphic intensity. Few examples: Take on Helicopters, Prison Architect, Project Zomboid, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. However there are games that does not have a issue, for example Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Here is the link for the results from Speccy. I had it running during watch tv show to have more precise temperature measurement: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/A...UQAO8LRemBnnhb

I had also tried to run FurMark as was suggested in other topic. Log is attached in the attachment. Note that during test I tried to boost Fan speed for GPU as it was running only at 40%. I am using MSI Afterburner to OC that GPU bit and it is set for automatic corrections of Fan speed.

I also checked event log and exported records from two recent crashes of Take on Helicopters. Nothing helpful in there in my opinion. In the time of crash there are no other records, that could help with anything.

I am planning to run Memtest during the night, but I doubt that it's source of the issue. I had troubles with memory in the past and it usually lead to BSOD. This is quite different.

Edit: By instructions in this topic I tried to generate some more crash intel, but since it froze the system again, it didn't made any dump. I have attached log files that were made, but I doubt it can help. I will keep trying with this if I manage to do just game crash without system crash.

Edit2: Ok, I have managed to cause crash without system freeze and it created dump. I have attached it.

Well it's week now, guess it's time to bump the topic for a bit as it got lost out of sight probably ... or is nobody able to help me, please ?

I have been communicating with Bohemia Interactive about crashes of Take On Helicopters. They are pretty much clueless and since it's not only game that's crashing, it's probably not their fault.

And another bump after week. I have run memtest86+ for 7 passes without single error. Then I have returned OC of GPU to original settings, updated nVidia drivers again and run FurMark for another 3 hours. FPS is not great, but no crash at all. I am running out of options here. Do you think it's possibly some software fault and reinstalling OS could help ?

User fault from what you wrote.

Returned OC of GPU to orginal settings = no crash at all :)

Improve cooling system or forget about OC simple.

Edit: Out of curiosity how much did you OC when i had desktop you could OC a lot but i keept safe value 20% max even though i could squeez cpu & gpu a lot.

Now i have laptop and i don't bother with OC since that would be insane :)

Well, you have misunderstood me. In the first post, I have run Furmark when it was OC and there was no crash either. When running those game, it still crashes

Some games push your temp more than others for example dragon age & mass effect 1&2 preaty much always made my hardware very hot.

Just play on lower settings with no OC.

Or buy new gfx? 100$ should be enought to get something better...

Are you telling me, that Furmark is not making my GPU sweaty enough ? Then what is the purpose of that software ?

One of the first things we look at when trying to help is whether the OP can follow directions. This is simply being constructive advice. In the instruction link at the top of the page there's detailed steps to follow on what to post and what to do if your system is not creating dumps. The logs you included are helpful but incomplete. They also show that dumps were created.

For us to help you, you must help us. Fix the dump problem first then upload the requested files from the SF Diagnostic Utility.

Well for example im preaty sure if you run prime on stock cooling it will overheat. So yee Furmark is kinda forgiving.

Like you said earlier when you reverted to stock settings everything is fine so just run on default.

Edit: I think i will OC and complain that i got unstable system i wonder what advice i would get from people.

Since I didn't encountered BSOD, I thought that those dumps are not relevant, since these guidelines are for BSOD situations. I am sorry about my confusion. Attaching SFDU zip file now...
