so i was told by a friend, to reduce the graphics below the "low" graphics on the wow settings, it looks completely terrible but it's now playable and It hasn't crashed since doing this. Also my GPU "usage" is around 50-60% whereas before when i was doing certain things it would hit 99% straight away, which may have been the cause to it crashing. Any suggestions on what I can do though so i don't have to stay on lower than low graphics?

Glad you figured out the problem.

My only suggestion is that you stick with having low graphics for now and maybe upgrade it to medium graphics after a week of low graphics because that way you know that the graphics was actually the problem.

so on these lower than low graphics it worked fine, I thought this was a sort of fix and then randomly after a day of playing i get the driver message come up and it crashes and the laptop freezes again, this is beyond annoying now!

it's my GPU "usage" which is causing these freezes, running MSI Afterburner just now it spiked out of nowhere up to 99%, from 50% which froze my wow and i was able to close it before the immediate laptop freeze. Any ideas on why my GPU would randomly spike to 99% usage?

GPU usage should be average while playing a lot of games, even on a high-end Laptop... do you have anything else running while playing World of Warcraft?

yeah i made sure that theres hardly anything running, its always at around 50% GPU usage but its when it spikes to 100% it crashes, what else could cause my GPU to spike so high?

Bump - still having this problem, it randomly spikes to 98-100% GPU usage and crashes the system. Any suggestions would be very helpful! What hardware problem might cause this?
