    games gone

I can no longer open Games in W7. The games (Freecell, Solitaire etc) are still listed but clicking on a game does nothing.

Run SFC/ scannow using Option Two from an elevated command prompt and report back any console messages.

    SFC

SFC has no ability to answer a scan with the message you are talking about. Your machine is infected with malware/virus. Start with Malwarebytes and scan your system. If you don't have it insatalled. Do a search for "Malwarebytes" and down load and install it. It's free. Be careful where you download from.

As HammerHead pointed out, those are not SFC responses.

Did you happen to click on an alternate link? That sounds like a possible ad you may have clicked on.

    This link,

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Is a built in tool and will never ask you for money.

That's the same link I gave--Straight to the Tutorial.
Yep, the OP has malware. First time I've seen a virus/malware take over System File Checker. Either the OP has NO AV or a less than nominal AV.

I think the OP Googled it instead of clicking on it. There's nothing to download for SFC. It's built into Windows as already mentioned.

I know that's the same one Ken.

I was just using it as a reference to state that the output the OP reported was not from that link.

I'm curious about the link that they did click, it sounds like it may have been an ad (Which should only be seen while not logged in) in between or elsewhere in the post.

    Possibly something like this...

Oh.... I don't get those. I was thinking he searched for SFC through his browser and loaded some crapware. I would hope that SF would monitor that stuff.

That is a screenshot while not logged in, just as an example. I don't get those either.

The search theory is also probable if they didn't notice it was a link you posted.

Malwarebytes was a good suggestion too, that never hurts.
