Banding on any fullscreen game, fresh build.

So just built my first PC, *Happy happy, joy joy* BUT, any fullscreen game (namely Skyrim and Borderlands 2, Minecraft though works fine [I think because it is OpenGL]) has banding (Black bands traveling up the screen) and doesn't really work, eg. never actually gets past its main screen. GPU: Sapphire AMD FirePro V4900 CPU: AMD FD8350FRHKBOX FX-8350 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition PSU: 680W If you need more info just ask, thanks ^_^

One way to test if the issue is limited to DirectX titles, would be to download and run the Heaven Benchmark.

Try changing the API setting between runs. ie Run it as OpenGl and then run it as DirectX 11.

If it works on OpenGl but not DirectX - it most likely is a driver issue. What drivers are you using - Workstation Drivers or the normal Catalyst drivers?

Another thing worth trying would be to download and install the DirectX end user Runtimes.

Does the banding occur if you run Skyrim/Borderlands 2 in a windowed screen? (If the graphics option launcher for skyrim doesn't have a check box for Fullscreen/Windowed mode - try pressing ALT+Enter as the game loads.)

For Borderlands 2, if are you using Steam, r-click on the Game in your Library > Properties > Set launch options and add:
" -windowed " (without the quotes). If not using Steam, r-click on the game icon > Short-Cut > Target and add -windowed to the end of the command line.

Running either in windowed solves the problem, I am downloading the tools atm and will post back with the results.

EDIT: The drives I am using come from this address: SAPPHIRE AMD FirePro? V4900-Sapphire PGS-Professional Graphics Solution
EDIT2: How do I use the linked directx file? It simply extracted tons of files.

Ok so, ran the benchmark and it only messed up on Directx9 full-screen opengl and directx11 were fine both windowed and full-screen.
