Myst Masterpiece Edition Crash on startup

Ok. SO I have scoured the internet looking for a solution. Here is what I have tried:

    -Install MYST, run - crash

-Uninstall MYST, re-install, use quicktime version provided, reboot, run - crash

-Change compatibility to every option available/run as admin/try disabling visual themes, etc - result in crash or "MYST requires windows 95, you are running windows NT"
(Windows 95 and 7 cause crash, others cause error message)

-Change target to "-window" in case of resolution issues, run - crash

What I don't understand is I have been seeing on forums that people are running it on 64-bit like I am but it's working for them. 32-Bit also works. So what else can I do to get this to work?

I have Myst Masterpiece Edition from Steam and besides the fact that it runs in fullscreen 640x480 in its own "window", the only problem I've had is that crashes when you click the credits after clicking File>Exit. Runs just fine otherwise on my PC with Win 7 Ultimate 64bit and no compatibility settings. Get realMyst from Steam, it supports Full HD and full screen Anti aliasing.
