You could always just upgrade your PC? As far as this, it is all smoke and mirrors, and could have adverse side effects depending on your system's dependencies. Yes it is free but other IObit software is not, so this is a tool using a popular issue with PC users and gamers to promote other software on the site. Nothing is free kids, no such thing as a free lunch.

if you have an amd processor and an ati card you can download amd fusion from the ati web site, pretty much does the same stuff, works pretty good

Windows 7 CRT monitor fonts tips : Disable Smooth edges
Hi, I just found how to completly disable ClearType in 7 : Control Panel / System and Security / System / Advanced system settings / Settings under Performance / Uncheck Smooth edges of screen fonts. My fonts are easier to read now. Hope this will help someone.
