Blocked By Group Policy while launching JustCause2

    Hello everyone,

When i try to launch Just Cause 2, a message pops up.
"This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator."

I`ve researched on Google for about 2 hours now, and the problem still isn`t solved.

I AM the administrator, and there are no other users on my computer.
I`ve tried running the .exe as administrator.
I am not part of a workgroup, or a domain.

Please tell if you need more information.

    Thanks, JustCall

    Hi JustCall, welcome to sevenforums...

Looks like you don't have administrator rights. I know you say you do, but the pop-up says otherwise.

And sorry, but that pop-up is clearly talking about Microsoft's Solitaire game. What's going on here?

    +1

Going by the picture alone, it looks like you are trying to play solitaire on a locked down work machine.

If it is a work machine, is the group policy editor even available to you?

    Hello,

The picture is from the Solitaire game, taken from Google Images.
If i upload my own screenshot of the message, it is in Dutch language.
But the game i am trying to load is Just Cause 2.
    And, i have administrator rights.

Click here to see the popup.

    Thanks

    - Who's machine is this?
    - Is this a work machine?
    - Do you have issues with other games/software, hardware?

Oh, and just because you can access GPE, doesn't necessarily mean you have full admin rights.

And please post images here as some (me) don't like going off site to view images. It’s just much easier and simpler to have images posted here.

    Thanks.

No, this isn`t a work machine.
Other software works fine... It`s just Just Cause 2

    Thanks

Where did you get the game from?

Anyway you can check out steps 11b and 14 here - Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues to see if this helps.

I got the game from Steam, but it is a Windows problem.
Downloaded it and it didn`t work at the first time.

Windows firewall isn`t blocking me, and i have permissions.

    Thanks

This tutorial by Brink will show you how to post screen shots.

Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

The good folks here need screens shot off of your computer not off of the web.

If everything works on your computer except that game I not understanding how it can be a Windows 7 problem.

I will be watching and learning.
